The resort of Belek is home to most of the good golf in Turkey. It's got great beaches, a stunning mountain backdrop and over 300 days of sunshine each year. At present the resort has six full courses, two with 27 holes, plus two academy courses, each set in its own beautifully landscaped gardens, and the courses are in excellent condition. There are plans for another 15 courses within the next 10 years, with 6 already under construction bringing the total to an amazing 20 golf courses. Belek Golf Resort has plans to become Europe’s premier golfing destination and two of the courses to be built are being designed by Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo. This is an area with tremendous investment potential and is set for rapid development. |

Property sales to foreigners boom set to continue |

Property sales to foreigners, which have been consistently picking up speed since a law was enacted in 2005 to facilitate such sales, grew by 17 percent this year.
Economist Mustafa Sönmez, speaking to Today’s Zaman, noted that the revenue earned through foreigners investing in Turkish real estate exceeded $1.5 billion in the first five months of 2007. Highlighting that sales hit their peak in January, totaling $362 million for the first month alone, Sönmez stated that the market had grown by 17 percent compared to figures for the same period last year. |

The stability in Turkey's economy and high growth rates in recent years have attracted foreign interest in Turkey's real estate market.
Foreign investors choose Turkey as one of the best countries to invest in because of its potential to gain value. Foreigners invested $6.2 billion within the last year in real estate in Turkey, and around $3.1 billion of this was spent on houses and summer houses. |

Ikke langt fra byen kan du svømme i en krystallklar, tideless??, varm sjø. Spesielt dykkere vil ønske å utforske de mange revene, grottene og de majestetiske rock formasjonene. Vannet sender opp mangefargede (fiske)svamper av alle former og størrelser, octopi og en enorm variasjon av annet vannliv/sjø-/havliv.

Søndag starter en bred stortingsdelegasjon et offisielt besøk i Tyrkia som inkluderer alle de ledende politikerne i landet. Vi ønsker å bidra til å styrke våre forbindelser til et land som vil ha stor betydning for vårt eget kontinents skjebne.Mye blitt sagt og skrevet om hvor viktig det er at Tyrkia fortsetter sin vei mot Europa. For å understreke alvoret i den avgjørelsen som EU nå står overfor, kan man gjøre denne historiske oppsummering:Fra et geologisk synspunkt er selvfølgelig ikke Europa et kontinent. Måten vi har delt verden mellom Asia og Europa på følger ikke fysiske grenser, men geopolitiske og religiøse grenser. |
